You will join the foundation at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a transformational impact. The foundation is in the public phase of a historic campaign to raise $3 billion to build a better future for Nebraska. The campaign is being led by many enthusiastic volunteers representing all areas of the University of Nebraska System. This paid position offers a flexible schedule of 12-15 hours per week, professional experience, learning opportunities, and a convenient work location in the downtown Lincoln area.
Ways you’ll make an impact:
- Draft routine correspondence for the UNF President and CEO.
- Process incoming mail addressed to the UNF President and CEO, including scanning documents and logging incoming and outgoing correspondence into a database (AliCRM).
- Update numerous tracking spreadsheets.
- Execute printing tasks efficiently using Microsoft Office.
- Provide general office support to the Executive Office team and, when time allows, to other foundation departments as needed.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.

What you need:
- Minimum Education: Current undergraduate status/enrollment at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Preferred Education: English, Journalism and Mass Communications or related majors with a strong emphasis in writing and editing.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated communication, writing, and editing skills and familiarity with AP style.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Discretion in handling confidential matters and information.
