Position Summary
Provides support, assessment and coordination of accounting and administrative functions for the Department of Pathology & Microbiology. Assists Financial Coordinator, Administrative Director, and senior management with the administration of a portfolio of the department’s financial operations comprised of complex accounting and billing work, including Regional Pathology Services (RPS), Nebraska Public Health Laboratories (NPHL), departmental core facilities, and individual principal investigators (PIs). Contributes to efficient office operations in the department and serves a trusted liaison with internal departments and external entities. 4. Willingness and ability to learn to present technical information to UNMC staff using formal presentations. Training / coaching available to enhance presentation skills.
5. The ability to interpret grant awards and contract to apply strict adherence with regard to types of expenses charged to the grant / contract.
6. Knowledge of the policies and procedures of UNMC, the College of Medicine, University of Nebraska and / or similar institution.
