Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno College of Liberal Arts is seeking applications for a Digital Web Strategist. This position serves as a technical expert supporting the College’s web presence in alignment with the University's overall website strategies and content management system (CMS).
The Digital Web Strategist is responsible for content development, website maintenance, digital marketing, accessibility remediation, and training. They provide guidance on web content best practices and ensure consistency across digital platforms. The strategist also integrates the website with email marketing, social media, and other digital channels to reflect the College’s mission and strategic priorities.
Strong skills in project management, web design, user experience, graphic design, and conversion optimization are essential to the success and integrity of the College's online presence.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage and update College of Liberal Arts web content using the University’s CMS, ensuring alignment with brand and communication standards.
- Serve as a technical consultant and liaison for CMS and web content, collaborating with stakeholders across the University and the Office of Marketing & Communications.
- Monitor website performance and accessibility using analytics tools (e.g., SiteImprove); implement SEO strategies and ensure content accessibility compliance.
- Assist with CMS improvements and provide training and support to content contributors through consultations, workshops, and presentations.
- Partner with the Marketing Specialist and content stakeholders on web strategy and digital marketing initiatives, including recruitment and reputation campaigns.
- Support digital and email marketing efforts; explore emerging platforms and strategies to promote University programs.
- Coordinate marketing efforts with campus partners such as the Office for Prospective Students and The Graduate School.
- Contribute to events and marketing initiatives through graphic design and assist with photography and videography as needed.
- Stay current on web strategy, SEO, digital recruitment, and CMS functionality through research and professional development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and two years (2) of related work experience OR
Master’s Degree and one (1) year of related work experience
Related Experience:
Within online web strategy, experience in search engine optimization (SEO), content management systems (CMS), HTML, content planning and editorial calendars, web accessibility and web content writing/editing or related
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with content management systems (CMS), skills in photography and/or videography or related

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees
