Job Description
This Letter of Appointment position has statewide responsibility, but it is preferred that the person selected will maintain an office provided in Las Vegas. As part of the Nevada Assistive Technology Resource Center within the Nevada Center for Excellence in Disabilities, this position will coordinate assistive technology resources and activities with people with disabilities, services providers, and the general public. Individuals to be engaged are people with disabilities who have assistive technology barriers. The overall goals and objectives are to provide resources, services, and supports to reduce barriers, and to improve quality of life.
The position will have responsibilities that involve assisting with project coordination, direct service and peer-based supports, data entry and management, report writing, supervision, as well as other duties that involve assisting with the coordination of day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of information and assistance about programs by phone, email, online, and in person at activities and events.
  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of other general direct service activities relating to assistive technology under the Federal AT Act including outreach, public awareness, training, technical assistance, and statewide leadership.
  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of aspects of the assistive technology program regarding project infrastructure, coordination and management, and assisting with policy and procedures.
  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of data tracking strategies and collection mechanisms, including spreadsheets, forms, inventory management, and other infrastructure needs.
  • Provide partial supervision of interns, student workers, part time hourly workers, and project specialists as needed.
  • Monitor and coordinate office related functions and other day to day operations in our leased space in southern Nevada.
  • Assist with grant management, budgets, and other efforts regarding program sustainability.
Required Qualifications
  • Candidate must have a High School diploma and 5 years in related field;
  • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years in related field;
  • Or Candidate must have combination of education, experience, or certifications in Assistive Technology
