The College of Business (CoB) at the University of New England (UNE) invites applications for a tenure-line Assistant or Associate Professor in Marketing.
Candidates with a terminal degree (PhD degree), a strong record of research and teaching, as well as an industry background are sought. The ability to teach in all aspects of marketing, including sport marketing, sales, and entrepreneurship is essential, as is the ability to work with students, maintain an ongoing research program, and engage with industry. At the UNE CoB, experiential education is our highest priority.
This 9-month position will start in August 2025 and have a competitive starting base salary, with opportunities to teach in the summer, work with our centers, and seek administrative positions. The successful candidate will join a collegial, engaged team of faculty and professional staff in a new College of Business that is growing and offering programs in many areas, with graduate programs, professional programs, and online programs all in our plans.

Responsibilities
The school seeks a candidate to teach in the College of Business and our undergraduate programs. Courses are offering in the fall and spring semester on the Biddeford campus. The typical teaching load is the equivalent of 9 credits per semester in small classes. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capacity for excellence in teaching and research, involvement with industry, the ability to engage in curriculum development and participate in academic recruiting, course and program assessment, and service to the school, college and university. As a full-time faculty member, your workload will include service, student support, research, and thought leadership, as well as teaching.
Qualifications
A doctoral degree in business in the area of your teaching or a related field combined with industry experience is required at the time of appointment; preference will be given to candidate with a graduate degree in marketing (PhD), or those with a combination of education and professional experience that provide commensurate qualifications. Professional work experience and engagement with industry are both highly valued for these positions.
Applicants with previous experience are encouraged to apply, as are those who can contribute to the College’s ability to engage with industry, source internships, and place students in future jobs.
