The School of Nurse Anesthesia at the University of New England (UNE) is seeking a half-time faculty member to join our team. Reporting directly to the Director of the School of Nurse Anesthesia, this position assumes teaching responsibilities for didactic courses within the nurse anesthesia program.

Responsibilities
- Participate in the recruitment, selection and evaluation of candidates during the admission process as well as assists in establishing and maintaining admission and selection criteria.
- Assist in the design and implementation of curriculum that enables students to obtain proper certification and ensures courses adhere to established guidelines and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of required reports as requested by the program director.
- Serve on school and college committees as requested.
- Maintain a program of personal professional growth by engaging in scholarly activity, university and community service and other pursuits commensurate with faculty rank and status.
- Network with other universities, schools, faculties, and professional organizations to elicit ideas related to program enrichment, specifically pedagogical innovations and ideas related to the theory and practice of nurse anesthesia.
- Acts in an advisory role to assigned students throughout the academic year.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Doctorate in a relevant science-related field from an accredited institution.
- Previous teaching experience in the sciences is desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a variety of responsibilities, including school administration, faculty and student engagement, teaching, and both internal and external networking.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment and initiative while managing multiple priorities.
- Effective in guiding and teaching students, working with faculty, and interacting across the university community.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and enhance curriculum and assess student performance in didactic courses.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential faculty and student information appropriately.
