An Adjunct Professor of Law (Adjunct) teaches course(s) at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law as assigned by the Associate Dean for Faculty or Associate Dean for Academic Administration for a specific term.
Duties/Responsibilities May Include
The University of New Hampshire is an R1 Carnegie classification research institution providing comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs of distinction. UNH is located in Durham on a 188-acre campus, 60 miles north of Boston and 8 miles from the Atlantic coast and is convenient to New Hampshire’s lakes and mountains. There is a student enrollment of 13,000 students, with a full-time faculty of over 600, offering 90 undergraduate and more than 70 graduate programs. An Adjunct Professor of Law (Adjunct) teaches course(s) at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law as assigned by the Associate Dean for Faculty or Associate Dean for Academic Administration for a specific term.
Duties/Responsibilities May Include
- preparing the syllabus and materials for course delivery;
- updating the course information and materials within the applicable Learning Management System;
- providing students with timely and specific feedback;
- responding to student inquiries within 24 hours;
- offering weekly office hours for individual or group consultation;
- grading assignments and exams in a timely manner and no later than by the deadline set by the law school;
- submitting final grades according to UNH Franklin Pierce policy and the individual program calendars;
- maintaining communication with UNH Franklin Pierce faculty and staff through email, mail, telephone, and any other medium deemed appropriate; and
- other duties as assigned
