This role will involve counseling students and alumni in exploring educational, personal or career goals; identifying interests, skills, exploring internship/experiential learning opportunities; relating majors and competencies to career options; developing concrete action steps to advance career options and the job search process. Work on events such as networking nights and employer events. Join a team of career professionals who are passionate about delivering high level services. Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, counseling, or related field, as well as 5 years of related experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication techniques
- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies/tools
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to work efficiently and with careful attention to detail
- Experience working with emerging adults, and diverse student populations
- Master’s degree in business, education, counseling, or a related field
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Experience working with college students, ideally in an advising capacity
- Understanding of issues facing college students from diverse backgrounds
- Experience using technology platforms such as Handshake and Salesforce
- Experience in creating and making presentations
- Experience coordinating events
