Research Associate sought to assist in the coordination, development, planning, and provision of technical assistance activities that highlight policy that improves population health and/or healthcare delivery system performance. Candidate will coordinate activities, conduct research and analysis, monitor health policy developments, and provide technical assistance to internal and external partner by coordinating, organizing, and implementing relevant activities including stakeholder engagement, literature reviews, development of presentation material; and reporting and publishing final results.
Job Duties
Collect, assemble, organize, analyze, and synthesize data (including event attendance, survey data, product distribution, and program evaluations), relating to other work done in IHPP, as appropriate; for example, tracking the attendance at events, training evaluations, and distribution of program materials (such as data drives and posters/fliers).
Work as part of a team to develop and organize events and deliver programs, such as meetings, webinars, learning collaborative sessions, educational training’s, and other seminars.
Document results of project activities in the form of written periodic reports to support reports to funders and project publications (white papers, policy documents, etc.), professional reports for publication; posters and presentations including supporting the Annual progress reports for grant-funded projects, and regular reporting to stakeholder groups.
Assist in development of materials to support program activities, such as presentations, display materials, brochures, flyers and resource guides; and present information as appropriate.
Work with campus (such other Institutes) and external partners (such as State, local health agencies, and other external community based organizations and stakeholders), as required, to develop procedures, protocols and products to support the development of relevant activities.
Assist in the gathering of data from internal and external partners (such as state-based data stewards, national web data dissemination systems, and internal UNH partners), including from interviews and surveys; for example, assisting in the collection and organization of measures from data collection tools from organizations across UNH.
Assist in conducting background studies of needed topics, including the review of existing research in literature reviews, research methods and findings in peer-reviewed publications, secondary data analysis results review (including internal surveys and administrative data), and review of previous work of synthesis of best practices.
Confer with faculty/staff members within IHPP and across UNH and/or external partners (such as State of NH Department of Health and Human Services), to help identify concepts and questions that can be addressed by appropriate research methods and programmatic activities, and collecting of descriptive data (such as state-based interviews, secondary data analysis, and synthesis of research publication findings) to support project activities.
Qualifications
Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: One to three years of experience related to an area of health policy or research or Master's Degree.
