Duties/Responsibilities

- Process and maintain undergraduate and graduate student record changes in the University’s student information system including but not limited to program changes, withdrawal and leave of absence applications and grades while ensuring FERPA compliance.
- Work with academic departments and deans’ offices on student record matters.
- On a team responsible for degree conferral. This work includes working with academic departments to ensure students have satisfied degree requirements, reviewing reports to identify missing requirements and performing outreach to students and academic departments as necessary.
- This team is responsible for three degree conferral periods a year.
- Interpret and apply a variety of procedures, policies and precedents.
- Exercise independent decision making based on established guidelines.
- Work with Assistant Registrar on process-improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Three years of related experience, preferably in higher education, or AA degree and five years of experience, or a combination of experience and higher education equal for seven years.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
- Bachelor’s degree; supervisory experience; University experience; knowledge of University academic policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently with Excel applications and strong customer service experience.
