Job Summary
The University of New Mexico - Hospitals is seeking a skilled and dedicated Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, while also assuming relief charge duties when designated.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to an assigned group of patients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that take into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families, adhering to hospital standards and protocols.
Requirements
- Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement with the state.
- CPR certification for Healthcare Providers/BLS or Professional Rescuers within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire (not required).
