Position Summary | The office of Graduate Medical Education is seeking anorganized, detail-oriented individual who can work effectively andindependently in a multi-task environment. This individual will be responsiblefor billing, accounts receivable and reconciliation for over 750 residentphysicians’ time assigned to Health Sciences clinical departments. This position will work in the GME FiscalTeam with the Accountant III and a Fiscal Tech. Other responsibilities include processing nonstandardpayment forms, reconciling department accounts, review of financial documents, [HM1] runningvarious reports, entering staff payroll and special projects for the departmentas needed. This position will require training in reconciling and assistingFiscal Tech and other staff that possess a Purchasing Card (PCard), as well astraining in UNM Travel regulations and cash management practices will beprovided to the successful incumbent. This position will be responsible for assistingthe Department Fiscal Tech with processing / creating Purchase Requisitions. This position will also be responsible for, JournalVouchers, internal Department spreadsheets (Excel), routine financial documentsand fund transactions, reconciling financial records, and analyzing routinefinancial data. Accounts Payableexperience a plus. Must have excellentcustomer service and communication skills, an advanced level knowledge ofMicrosoft Word and Excel, intermediate level experience with Microsoft Accessand the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment. Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 12 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
