Position Summary | The University of New Mexico Schoolof Law seeks a highly organized and skilled Administrative Officer. Thisposition works closely with the Dean and Associate Deans at the School of Law andserves as a valuable member of Law School Administration. Main duties include: Superviseand manage daily operations of the Faculty Support team, which providesclerical and administrative support to all Law professors and adjunct faculty;supervise the Dean’s Assistant/Operations Specialist and provide support toensure adequate resources for the Office of the Dean; supervise and manage theLaw School Reception area and mailroom activities, including arranging coverageand developing reliable back-up coverage; coordinate and execute administrativesupport activities for the Dean and Associate Deans of the Law School; providedirect support to the Law School Dean and Associate Deans with support ofcritical faculty committees, creating spreadsheets, drafting correspondence andfaculty meeting minutes, formatting and editing Word documents, and creatingother documents in various mediums as assigned. May organize and facilitatemeetings, conferences, and other special events. The successful candidate will behighly reliable, will work productively both independently and as part of ateam, will demonstrate a customer service-oriented approach, and will exhibitpride in providing top-quality service and an outstanding work product. Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified, of which at least 2 should be directly related to managing at least one of the functional areas of fiscal services, administration and/or human resources. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
