What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor of Cell Biology & Physiology position at University of New Mexico?
The major research programs within the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology include vascular physiology, pulmonary and systemic hypertension, vascular inflammation, cancer genetics and signaling, and neuronal development and angiogenesis in fetal alcohol spectrum disorder. The successful applicant will develop a rigorous and independent research program and participate in departmental activities including graduate and/or medical school teaching.
Minimum Requirements:
PhD, MD, or equivalent
Postdoctoral experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Independent funded research program, or strong potential for obtaining R01 or equivalent funding, as evidenced by funding history, high-quality publications, and research plan
Potential for research interactions with department members
Potential for participating in institutional educational activities
