Position Summary | StudentHealth and Counseling (SHAC) is a comprehensive health service available to allcurrently enrolled UNM students. SHAC is located North of Johnson Center andacross from the Student Union Building. It is open Monday through Friday and isclosed on all UNM holidays. Services include medical appointments (scheduledand same-day), pharmacy, women's and men's health, allergy and immunization,medical specialty clinics, physical therapy, lab and x-ray, travel healthclinic and counseling services, as well as health education, prevention, andpromotion. TheUniversity of New Mexico Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) is seekingapplicants for a Counselor/Social Worker position. The person in thisposition will: Providea range of psychological assessment, diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or casemanagement services for individuals, couples, groups, and/or families, asappropriate to the specific expectations of the position. Typically works underthe direct guidance of a clinical professional within the environment of aclinical agency or a medical/hospital facility. May provide practical trainingand guidance to students and/or paraprofessional staff, as required. See the Position Description for additional information. |

Minimum Qualifications | Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or directly related field; at least 6 months of directly related experience which may include internship and/or practicum.Certification/LicensureNM licensure as LPCC, LPC, LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, or equivalent level, OR licensed out of state and eligible for NM licensure. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
