What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Ticket Operations position at University of New Mexico?
Manages computerized ticket operations at Athletic events and special events hosted by the Athletic Department. Provides overall fiscal management of ticketing operations and ticketed-event planning support for events of the University Arena – The Pit, University Stadium, and other UNM Athletic venues.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Manages all facets of the daily operations and/or event operations of the organizational unit, ensuring compliance with the University, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations.
2. Serve as ticket operations manager for various UNM Athletic teams and events. May serve as ticket operations manager for UNM Football, depending on level of experience.
3. Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, promotion, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
4. Assists in reviewing ticketing needs and procedures with venue users; prepares events for system sale, including event builds in the ticketing system, and conducts final event sales audits.
5. Monitors and maintains integrity of cash-handling and fiscal procedures. Oversees cash and credit card deposits and reconciliation of event transactions.
6. Provides detailed sales and financial reports on a timely basis; maintains all ticket office records.
7. Develops and implements systems and processes to establish and maintain records for the operating unit.
8. Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the unit.
9. May work closely with internal and external partners to develop and grow specified programs. This position will work with department management in evaluation of procedures and workflow.
10. May maintain, organize, and handle all sales and ticketing needs for specified programs and productions. May run reports for department management as required.
11. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
