What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host NMIF Multimedia Producer/Dir, Sr position at University of New Mexico?
Under general supervision, as Host of NMIF will participate at all levels in producing at least one news and public affairs program to be broadcast on NMPBS - plus additional hosting and production duties for news and public affairs programming for various digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram and podcasting platforms. Performs various duties at community events for NMPBS.

- Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Strong journalism background and skills, including interviewing, news gathering, news analysis, synthesizing complex topics and issues.
- Strong news judgment and ability to take and keep the pulse of the community.
- Ability to generate story and interview ideas.
- Creative, collaborative, critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of New Mexico, its issues, its people - and a willingness to learn more.
- Ability to partner with team to prepare interview questions and scripts for New Mexico in Focus segments.
- Flexibility to handle multiple formats and presentations, from one-on-one interviews to roundtable discussions to field pieces.
- Enhanced on-air presence.
- Desire to grow and expand our audience for broadcast, podcast and digital platforms.
- Non-linear editing skills in programs such as Adobe Premiere.
- Familiarity with public media philosophy and ethos.
- Commitment to fairness and accuracy in journalism.
- Experience or willingness to learn how to host and facilitate community events.
- Ability to work with team members in multiple departments, including production, public affairs, marketing, digital and development.

Salary : $4,073 - $5,722
