Position Summary | PLEASE NOTE: This position is for the UNM Gallup Branch, locatedin Gallup, NM, approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, NM. UNM-Gallup serves ahugely diverse student population with 100 full time and part-time facultymembers. We are fully accredited by theHigher Learning Commission offering Associate degrees, selected Bachelor’sdegrees, Career Technical Education certificate programs, and adult basiceducation (ABE/GED), workforce training and personal enrichment courses. UNM-Gallup serves multiple high schoolpopulations including McKinley Academy, Middle College High School and theCenter for Career and Technical Education. It is an exciting timeto join our faculty as we are expanding our programs, engaging with ourcommunity, establishing multiple endowments and grant opportunities whilehiring a substantial cohort of new faculty. Lecturers at UNM-G have career advancement opportunities that areoutlined in the UNM Faculty Handbook and faculty union collective bargainingagreement. The successfulcandidate will be expected to teach a 27-credit hour course load in the area ofBiology, maintain an active service record (as defined by the UA-UNM CBA),participate in monthly Division meetings and execute other relevant duties asagreed upon in conjunction with the division chair in an annual faculty-chairagreement. In addition, the selected candidatewill be expected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, andinclusion through actively practicing inclusive behavior and proactivelymanaging bias. |
