The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical
Care Medicine at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico
invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor, Associate Professor,
or Professor. The primary appointment
would be in the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine, Main
OR. Successful candidates will join a
group of experienced Anesthesiologists.
Albuquerque, New Mexico boasts 300 sunny days per year and is a prime location for outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, skiing, and more! Albuquerque alone offers more than 400 miles of hiking trails.
UNM Hospital is the only level 1 trauma center
in New Mexico. Critical care facilities
include a 24-bed medical cardiac intensive care unit, 20-bed pediatric intensive
care unit, 24-bed neonatal intensive care unit, 18-bed trauma surgical
intensive care unit, 6-bed burn center, and 24-bed neurosurgical intensive care
unit.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must hold unrestricted medical license
- Must hold M.D. or equivalent
- Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or within three years of residency and active in the certification process
Preferred Qualifications:
- Resident Teaching Experience
- Research and Scholarly Activities
- Experience Working in Trauma Call Assignments
