What are the responsibilities and job description for the Open Rank of Internal Medicine in Hospital Medicine SRMC Section Chief position at University of New Mexico?
The University of New Mexico, Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine seeks an experienced hospitalist leader to lead the Division of Hospital Medicine and work at Sandoval Regional Medical Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, adjacent to Albuquerque. This position is open rank and open track. Collegial atmospheres in a physician run program and career development are highlights of these positions. The candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment in leadership, clinical service, patient care, and education.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine by date of hire
- Able to hold a valid NM state medical license
- Must be eligible to work in US.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications must be scored and be consistent with the attached PAM.
- Experience/interest in clinical service
- Experience in strategic planning & negotiations
- Experience in recruitment and hiring
