The Division of Neonatology at the University of New Mexico School of
Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a full time Neonatologist. This position is Open rank and Open Track. Salary and track will be commensurate with training and
experience. This full-time position
offers a competitive salary and a rich retirement benefit program.
The Division of Neonatology provides patient care in a
culturally diverse, family-centered 52 bed Level IV NICU in a beautiful
Children's Hospital. The night coverage is provided by an in-house NNP/PA team
and neonatal fellows, with close supervision by the attending neonatologist.
The Division is the only Level IV NICU in the State of New Mexico, with one of
the largest Hispanic and Native American populations in North America. As the
premier medical center in the state, we offer a full-service NICU facility, an
ECMO program, a high-risk perinatal unit, air and ground transport team that
services the entire state, a fully accredited fellowship program, and a
sophisticated developmental care follow-up program. UNM School of Medicine is a
nationally recognized leader in medical education and a major center for health
care and research.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Board certified / Board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine by time of hire.
- Able to obtain state licensure(s) in the state of New Mexico.
- Experience with QI projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Record of teaching experience (fellows, house staff, and medical students).
- Minimum of 3-5 years working as a neonatologist.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
