- Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
- Must maintain certification status.
Graduation from an accredited law enforcement academy; at least 3 years of supervisory experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Certification/Licensure State of New Mexico Certified Law Enforcement Officer, or eligibility for Certification by waiver.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Implementation of Training or Experience in Training Law enforcement Personnel
- Major Event Planning and Logistic Experience
- Tactical and /or Critical Incident Management Experience
- Lieutenant or above Experience
