Position Summary | American IndianStudent Services (AISS) is seeking a Professional Support Intern to engage inan experience designed to provide on-the-job training and development for arecent college graduate. The Professional Support Intern will join a team ofprofessionals dedicated to supporting the University’s enrollment, retention,and graduation goals; and provide support to students with specific needsrelative to higher education navigation and success. Undertaking a wide rangeof job duties and tasks for college transition initiatives, student mentorshipprograms, student leadership development opportunities; and providingcomprehensive support for projects and programming activities of varyingcomplexity and structure are the primary duties and responsibilities of theposition. The successful candidate should possess developed oral and writtenskills and networking expertise. Experience collaborating and interacting withdiverse constituents and tribal governments, higher education programs, andentities specific to American Indian communities are critical elements of thein-person position. Minimum Qualifications | Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university in a Bachelor's or higher level degree program, and are within 12 months from graduating OR a recent graduate of an accredited university with a Bachelor's or higher level degree obtained no more than 24 months prior to the date of hire; no previous experience required. |
