Position SummaryThe School ofArchitecture and Planning is seeking temporary, part-time Lecturers to teachgraduate level courses in the Landscape Architecture Graduate Degree Program.The positions are open until filled.

The Department of Landscape Architecture at The University of New Mexico iscommitted to providing a strong and comprehensive graduate education designedto prepare graduates to enter the profession of landscape architecture asprivate, public or academic practitioners; and, to promote research and inquirythat contributes to knowledge in the discipline. The core educational missionof the program is the investigation of principles and theories of LandscapeArchitecture, their application as tools for critical thinking and theirsynthesis in design thinking, as they apply to issues of the Southwest and in alarger world context of social, cultural, environmental and evolutionaryinfluences on the landscape.

The School of Architecture and Planning is housed on UNM’s main campus in theaward-winning George Pearl Hall, designed by architect Antoine Predock. Inaddition to the spacious, naturally-lit design studios, the building has aFabrication Lab and Computer/Print Lab.

Position Summary


The Department of Landscape Architecture is seeking candidates who haveexpertise in any of the following areas:_
- Graphic Communication (hand and digital)
- Landscape Architecture Design at a variety of scales
- Construction Documents and Irrigation Design
- Grading and Drainage Design
- Plants and Planting Design
- Professional Practice in Landscape Architecture
- Research Methods
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in landscape architecture orrelated field.
OR
2. Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, and threeyears as a practicing landscape architect AND current Professional License
OR
3. A bachelor’s degree, and a minimumof ten years of professional practice in the areas of expertise for which theapplicant is applying (see list above)

Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in LandscapeArchitecture or related field
* Professional practice experience (3years )
* Teaching experience ( 2 semesters )
* A demonstrated commitment todiversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working withbroadly diverse communities.
