Bilingual Education, TESOL Education, Educational Thought and Sociocultural Studies,

The hired part time instructors
are expected to teach undergraduates and graduates in LLSS courses related to
the Department programs. This faculty member will be expected to participate in
enhancing the coherence and effectiveness of the teacher preparation programs.
LLSS is recruiting qualified instructors for the followingcourses:
LLSS
453/580, Theoretical
and Cultural Foundations of Bilingual Education/ Educ. Bilingual Studies
LLSS 315, Educating Linguistically and Culturally Diverse Students
LLSS 321, School and Society
LLSS 432, Teaching of Social Studies
LLSS 459/ LLSS 559, Second Language Literacy
LLSS 482/581, Teaching English as a Second Language
LLSS 570, Science and Native American Education
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in the discipline or subfield.
- Two years of successful teaching experience related to course topic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in Education, TESOL, or closely related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching(grades K-12) in public schoolsin the U.S.
- An interest or experience in teaching the specific course(s)
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity,inclusion, and student
success, as well as working with broadly diverse
communities
