This position is responsible for assisting faculty with designing, developing, and supporting online, hybrid, and traditional courses. This position collaborates with faculty: providing pedagogical and instructional technology support, assisting with creation of materials, and participating in/conducting internal, QM-based course reviews to ensure learning methods and materials are consistent with Quality Matters and university standards. Additional responsibilities include assisting other departmental staff with technical documentation, supporting end-users of the university’s LMS, and professional development offerings.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Collaborate with faculty to design and enhance online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses based on evidence-based teaching practices; Apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and Quality Matters (QM) standards to ensure accessible, high-quality learning experiences; Provide one-on-one consultations and group workshops on course design, active learning strategies, and digital pedagogy; Develop faculty training materials on best practices for online learning, instructional technology, and innovative teaching methods; Guide faculty in effectively using Learning Management Systems (LMS) (e.g., Canvas) and instructional technologies; Provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students using the university’s LMS (Canvas) and related online learning tools (Canvas Studio, Respondus Monitor, Turnitin, Zoom); Research and implement emerging educational technologies, such as AI-driven learning tools, adaptive learning, and interactive media; Create and manage learning resources like video tutorials, interactive assessments, and multimedia content; Assist faculty in developing learning outcomes, assessments, and rubrics aligned with institutional goals; Analyze course effectiveness using learning analytics and data-driven decision-making; Contribute to strategic projects such as curriculum redesign, competency-based education, and micro-credentialing initiatives; Perform all other duties as assigned.ADDITIONAL DUTIES: To be determined.
