Description
This position provides administrative and clerical support to international admissions staff. Responsibilities include processing international admission applications, creating computer files, maintaining files, scanning and indexing documents, maintaining Banner admission tables, generating admission reports, and other duties as assigned. This position requires a thorough knowledge of UNA's admission policies and academic actions.
Essential Job Duties
- Create and maintain admission files for international applicants using current computer systems, Ellucian Banner and Slate;
- Evaluate required admission documents (English proficiency, high school transcripts, college transcripts, etc.);
- Process applications for all incoming students and data entry including AEP, undergraduate, and graduate;
- Update and maintain student records and databases;
- Scan, index, and process all admission documents;
- Perform GPA conversion of international students' transcripts;
- Update and maintain admission checklists;
- Communicate with applicants during the application life-cycle using international student-friendly communication tools such as Kakao Talk, Line, WhatsApp, WeChat, etc.;
- Mail admission packages via UPS / FedEx / DHL;
- Work closely with supervisor regarding the admission status of applicants;
- Generate admission reports;
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

UNA provides all eligible employees with basic life insurance at no cost to the employee. The basic life coverage level is 1.5 times the covered employee's annual base salary with a maximum benefit of $400,000. Included with your basic life coverage is Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage at 3 times the covered employee's annual salary. The provider for this coverage is As a member of the , eligible employees have life benefits available through the TRS. Also, for eligible active employees, a death benefit of the payment of accrued sick leave is paid to the employee's beneficiary by the University.
