What are the responsibilities and job description for the ESL Teacher/Administrator position at University of North America?
9-18 hours per week of ESOL teaching/tutoring. TESOL certification strongly preferred. Evening hours available. Duties include:
• Conduct classes designed to meet the needs of the students and the organization.
• Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required scores.
• Evaluate student performance and development through daily assignments, homework, quizzes, Moodie discussions, presentations and essays.
• Use a dialogical approach and interactive teaching style with student-centered lessons.
• Use a wide range of articles and reading materials with a variety of audio-visual aids to maintain students' attention and interest.
• Prepare supplementary materials as needed and assist students in academic endeavors.
• Motivate and encourage students to actively communicate and participate in developing their four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Participate in faculty meetings and faculty development.
