UNC Asheville invites applications for the position of Head Men’s Soccer Coach. This position is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the intercollegiate men’s soccer program. The Head Men’s Soccer Coach at UNC Asheville will lead a competitive NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer program that aligns with the athletic department strategic plan including annually competing in the Big South Soccer Championship as a five seed or higher. The ideal candidate will exhibit our core values of servant leadership, dedication, excellence, and inclusion. Also, the individual will be passionate about working in college athletics and developing young men into Champions and Leaders in the classroom, in the community, and on the field with our current resources.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to coaching, teaching, recruiting, team travel, budget management, fund raising, and community relations. This position is responsible for the management and administration of all phases of an intercollegiate sports program in a manner that upholds the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics and the University.

Required Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Five years of successful collegiate/professional/elite club soccer coaching or professional playing experience.
- Proven experience working with and improving the performance of elite soccer athletes.
- Demonstrated successful leadership experience.
- Track record of strong commitment to a positive student-athlete experience and ensuring student-athlete welfare is paramount.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills
- Master degree preferred.
- Division I, collegiate soccer coaching experience.
- Experience as a Division I soccer student-athlete.
- Proven competitive success within an NCAA Division I post-season soccer team.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Responsible for the management and administration of all phases of the Men’s Soccer Program in a manner that upholds the philosophy and objectives of the Athletics Department and the University including but not limited to coaching, recruiting, team travel, budget management, fund raising, and community relations.
