Lecturer of Economics

The University of North Carolina Asheville Department of Economics invites applications for a two-year, non-tenure track Lecturer position in Economics to begin Fall 2025.

The successful candidate will teach 3 courses (a total of 12 contact hours) per semester. The precise course mix each year will be a function of department needs and may include Introductory Economic Analysis, courses required for the Economics major or Finance minor, and/or elective courses. Electives in any field including Regional, Health, Sports, Finance, Environmental, International or Development Economics would be welcome offerings. Teaching assignments will be primarily face-to-face and may include some online instruction.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach the aforementioned course-load, engage in service to the institution, the community and the profession, and ideally work with our students in some area of the discipline specific to their expertise. Individuals with a passion for undergraduate teaching and interest in a career at an institution focused on the liberal arts are strongly encouraged to apply.
