The Annual Giving Strategist contributes to the fundraising and alumni engagement goals and functions of a highly successful advancement organization. The position reports to the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement and Individual Giving.
The Annual Giving Strategist creates and disseminates content that resonates with UNC Kenan-Flagler’s alumni and helps develop materials for solicitation and stewardship of annual donors. The role executes communications associated with reunions and UNC Kenan-Flagler parent programming. This position provides strategic input and is the primary communications link between Advancement, MarCom and University Development Marketing. This position coordinates the portfolio of Advancement communications, ensuring consistency and continuity.
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must, as well as strong organizational and project management skills. Must have the ability work in in a fast paced environment. Occasional travel may be required.
One year of experience in social media, communications, journalism, public relations or marketing.
