The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing has been the leader in nursing education in North Carolina throughout its history. Established in 1950, it was the first school of nursing in North Carolina to offer a four-year baccalaureate nursing degree program followed by the first master’s degree program, the first continuing education program for nurses, first doctoral program, and first accelerated BSN option to students with college degrees. Position Summary
The School of Nursing Registrar will be responsible for planning, development, and implementation of all phases of curriculum management and registration, determination of NC residency, records management, records archival (since 1950), and support of enrolled students from pre-matriculation through graduation. Additionally, this position will be responsible for graduate credentialing and verification, coordinating course evaluations, catalog edits, submission of course documentation, and data aggregation and report generation for students in all undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs offered by the School of Nursing.
The Registrar will develop best practices for student services activities related to registration and records management and will develop and maintain comprehensive calendar of activities for the SON community.
As a member of the Office of Student Affairs, this position will help support the onboarding process for new students as well as Graduation and related ceremonies and be an active contributor to the daily functions of the office.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Prior experience working as a registrar with graduate and/or undergraduate students within an academic unit

Campus Security Authority Responsibilities
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
