Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit | The Office of the Vice Provost for Global Affairs has primary responsibility for shaping and implementing the University's global strategy while supporting global activity across campus. Units that report to the Vice Provost for Global Affairs include: Global Partnerships, Global Education, Communications, Global Research Institute, International Student and Scholar Services, Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Center, and the Unified Business Cluster/Shared Services. |
Position Summary | This position will assist the Director for Finance & Operations in the Office of the Vice Provost for Global Affairs in financial reconciliations of all accounts and monthly financial reporting to send out to unit leadership while the unit is recruiting for a permanent Sr. Accounting Tech. This position will also help us catch up on several months of backlog reconciliations since the permanent Sr. Account Tech left the position in Nov 2024. The position is 100% remote. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related business area; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Knowledge and experience with UNC finance systems, knowledge of university, state, and federal policies, regulations and best practices as it pertains to budget and expense management, advanced Excel skills. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Knowledge of UNC post award management is helpful, but not necessary. |
