Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Marketing Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Lecturer beginning August 2025. The primary responsibilities for this position include excellence in teaching undergraduate level courses in marketing, and service to advance the mission of the department, school, university or academy. Instructional duties include teaching four classes per semester.
Successful candidates will be able to teach multiple sections of undergraduate marketing courses such as Principles of Marketing and other required and elective courses in Marketing. Additional responsibilities may include :
1) Student advising
2) Course development
3) Commitment to school service, e.g., committees, student organizations, and internship supervision
The initial term is 1 year with the option to renew on a yearly basis. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Masters degree in Marketing or related business field is required at time of application
- Note : applicants with earned degrees will be given preference, however, those with
expected completion of degree by August 1, 2025 will be considered and degree conferral
must be confirmed by start of work to be eligible for employment.

Required Certifications or Licensure Primary Function of Organizational Unit The department serves approximately 650 undergraduate majors and offers degrees in two areas : (1) Professional Selling and (2) Marketing Strategy. The Cameron School of Business’ Marketing department is now home to the Center for Sales Excellence & Customer Delight. The department also offers a course in the Cameron School core curriculum, as well as several courses in multiple business master’s programs.
