What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Alumni Engagement position at University of North Florida?
General Description / Primary Purpose:
The Director of Alumni Engagement is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and connect with our alumni community, while fostering a strong sense of support for our institution. This individual will lead the creation of programs managing alumni communications and events.
Job Function:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
-Responsible for the development, implementation and overall direction of the assigned university area, including fiscal and budget management.
-Provide leadership to develop and maintain an alumni organization in support of the University, including fundraising initiatives, programs of interest, events for the University community
-Responsible for the supervision of all initiatives, programs, services and personnel of the Alumni Engagement office within the University Development and Alumni Engagement (UDAE) Division
-Strengthen collaborative partnerships with deans, directors and administrators to foster their involvement with University-wide alumni engagement initiatives
-Create and implement fundraising strategies, including clear goals, objectives, timelines, and evaluation metrics for alumni growth in giving to the University and participation
-Participate on a wide range of high level cross-functional teams and generally will have responsibility for external relations with appropriate groups and stakeholders
-Volunteer Management
-Assist the AVP for Development in formulating the Alumni Engagement vision and goals for the university and creating a collegial working environment
During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.
