This position is primarily engaged in teaching.
The candidate must hold, at minimum, a master's degree from an acceptable accredited institution in the field of instruction or closely related discipline at time of hire. Preferably has completed most or all of the requirements for the doctorate or equivalent. Must be able to demonstrate effectiveness in teaching.
General Description / Primary Purpose :
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is seeking a 9-month, non-tenure earning, Instructor of Nutrition. This position will report to the Department Chair, Dr. Andrea Arikawa. This position will be primarily responsible for teaching courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Teach assigned courses in Nutrition, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives.
- Hold regular office hours to provide academic support and guidance to students
- Maintain effective communication with students, addressing inquiries and providing timely feedback
- Adhere to department guidelines and procedures, fostering a collaborative and professional environment
- Participate in department, college, or university committees
Anticipated Start Date : The position is expected to begin on August 4, 2025
