Proactively audit, evaluate, and monitor campus tours. Serve as the initial point of contact and provide the highest quality first impression of the UNF community. Provide professional customer services in all interactions with students, parents, counselor and visitors throughout the admissions process. Maintain the campus tour registration database for various constituents such as elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and community colleges that might request tours. May be required to give campus tours and presentation in absence of tour guides. Provide guidance to student tour guides at events. Help cultivate, support and instill a sense of campus pride in student tour guides. Ensure that adequate follow-up communications are planned and executed following campus visits and recruitment events with a focus on relationship building. Collaborate with other colleges to create a specialty event for Transfer students, including a panel of representatives and an admissions presentation.
Create and curate Large Group tours to better fit the University through the incorporation and creation of UNF Brand communication templates. Assist in development of SharePoint Scheduling program to track staff employment hours to assist with budget reflection and monitoring hourly caps. Continuous department and college specific training of throughout semester to maintain efficiency and up-to-date operations amongst 40 staff members. Serve as an aid to campus tour guides while showcasing UNF for various daily campus tours and events. Serve as an event leader during various admissions campus events and specific department events. Facilitate small group discussions with new students and assist in the training of new hires. Put together information bags for daily campus tours and various campus events. General office duties: Answering phones, emails, data entry, coordinating large group tours, assist with the scheduling of tours, be able to give a tour in the absence of a tour guide. Interacts with prospective students and families daily while onboarding new campus tour guides (10-15) per semester. Assists in the development of a SharePoint scheduling program to track staff employment hours, aiding in budget reflection and monitoring hourly caps.
Assists in the training and management of front desk operations to ensure tours are coordinated and executed according to the concept mapping provided by the Assistant Director. Maintains processes to ensure quality customer service to both internal and external audiences of all new hires. Creates and assembles thank you cards sent out to all weekday tour participants after the conclusion of each tour.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be able to initiate conversations with new students and parents. Must have a working knowledge of the UNF campus. A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Must be able to work in a team environment as well as be self-motivated. Must be hardworking, exude osprey pride, and enthusiasm. Public speaking skills. Manual dexterity to have the ability to input data accurately and in a timely manner on a PC keyboard. Basic knowledge of personal computer software. Ability to lift and move material and large event items; weight 5lbs. Understand basic interpersonal and team building skills as to deal effectively and diplomatically and maintain good working relationships with others. Ability to provide clear instructions and explanations of the tour process to guests and tour guides. Ability to stand and walk significant distances between and within buildings on campus.
