Position Overview
The Counseling & Higher Education Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Internship Field Supervisor to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising and meet with School Counseling Internship, Master's level students;
- Coordinate and meet with site supervisors multiple times each semester; and
- Evaluate and report student progress with university supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters in Counseling
- Credential as a school counselor in Texas
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to effectively supervise school counselor trainees and provide feedback.
- Knowledge about ASCA National Model, school counseling practices, child development and mental health, and school cultures.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD or enrolled in CACREP Accredited Doctoral Counseling Program
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Credential as a school counselor in Texas.
