Position Overview
The Department of Management in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business (RCOB) at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for a full-time lecturer position. The lecturer role is a non-tenure-track faculty position.
Lecturers in the RCOB teach multiple undergraduate and/or graduate courses each term and contribute strategically through service activities within the department, college, university, and the broader business community.
Teaching responsibilities include developing and delivering courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats at UNT's main campus in Denton, Texas, and potentially at the Frisco, Texas, campus. The standard teaching load is four courses per long semester.
While these are generalist positions, we anticipate two specific needs:
1. Expertise in and the ability to teach a variety of upper-level HR courses in our HRM BBA program, as well as sections of undergraduate Organizational Behavior (MGMT 3720).
2. Ability to cover courses such as Management Concepts (MGMT 3820) and Organizational Design & Change (MGMT 4860).
Service responsibilities may include serving as a course coordinator or course lead for one or more courses, working with student organizations, and building corporate partnerships for course projects and student employment opportunities.
Candidates are expected to already live in or relocate to the Denton or Dallas-Fort Worth area.
We anticipate several openings for the Fall of 2025. As openings arise, we will actively source candidates from this applicant pool.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must hold a master's degree in business, management, or a closely related discipline relevant to teaching management courses at the undergraduate level.
Candidates must also demonstrate a proven ability to effectively teach at the university level.
Preferred Qualifications
An earned doctorate degree in business, management, or a closely related discipline relevant to teaching management courses.
Prior professional work experience that would add value to classroom instruction and corporate partner development.
University level course development and teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online course delivery.
