Department Summary
The Classroom and Events Technology Support (CETS) team is the primary provider of audio-visual equipment and services across campus. Our specialists are trained to assist with classroom technology, telepresence, live production, and special event needs. Additionally, the team advises and collaborates with institutional departments on technology projects to support growth and ensure the maintenance of current technology standards.
Position Overview
This position will be responsible for day to day activates assigned to them as well as problem resolution to support users within the UNT Health Science of Fort Worth. Assist with complex/problem solutions within the Classroom and Events Technology Support (CETS) projects to ensure high quality of AV/IT and customer service delivery across the HSC.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to assimilate, retain, and utilize technical information.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work with considerable independence and initiative.
- Proficiency in supporting various operating systems and software applications, including Mac OS X, Windows, iOS, and Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge of audiovisual technologies, televisions, projectors and sound systems.
- Technical skills in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining classroom technology.
- Capability to provide immediate technical support in classrooms during lessons.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical experience in technology support roles, especially in educational settings, is highly valued.

Job Duties:
- Set up and strike equipment for classes, meetings and other events on campus.
- Assist in person customers with campus technology questions or requests for equipment.
- Provide technical support during events if requested.
- Assist the Room Scheduling Office with corrections to requests.
- Input Facilities work request on damaged or broken equipment in classrooms or conference rooms that are not technology related.
- Answer phones and email that come in to the CETS department mailbox in a timely manner.
- Maintain current list of CETS inventory in classrooms and in storage area.
- Operate cameras and/or production switch board during live streaming events.
- Input tickets into Service Now once service is completed.
- Assist faculty/staff/students with basic classroom/conference room AV training.
- AV installations in classrooms, conference rooms and office space around campus.
Work Schedule:
- 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
- May rotate shifts to 9am to 10pm, Monday through Thursday.
