There are 8 functional units within the Division of Student & Academic Affairs: Center for Student Life, Career Readiness Center, Center for Academic Performance, Office of Care and Civility, Testing and Evaluation Services, International Services, Office of Disability Access, and Student Assistance Resource Center.
Position Overview
The Student Services Specialist will provide excellent customer service and support to UNTHSC students. This position will assist in providing on-site operational support, planning events, development of programming, outreach efforts, and preparing and maintaining databases. This position fosters student success by ensuring services and resources are accessible and efficiently maintained and delivered.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Duties:
- Provide on-site operational support for the HSC Food Pantry, including managing donations, food pantry pick ups, and ensuring the HSC Food Pantry is clean, organized and appropriately stocked.
- Provide on-site operational support for the HSC Clothing Closet, including manage donations, clothes closet drop-offs, and ensure HSC Clothing Closet is clean, organized and accessible to students.
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and assessment of SARC programming. Coordinate logistics for outreach activities, meetings and events, including HSC Food Pantry, Student Emergency Fund, and HSC Clothes Closet.
- Coordinate data management efforts for the food pantry, clothes closet, and student emergency fund. Provide support for SARC services, including student meeting support when needed.
- Process requisitions and purchasing card transactions.
- Develop and create marketing materials for SARC services.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional evenings or weekends required for divisional events Trips to pick up items for food pantry and clothing closet with-in normal working hours required
