Department Summary

Transportation Services supports the University's mission by maximizing campus access through environmentally sustainable practices, superior customer service, and through innovation and professional management of transportation resources and facilities.

Position Overview

Join a great team to help us transport students on campus. This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the campus Night Flight service, an evening safe ride service for students. This position will manage and direct the operations, dispatching, and hiring and training of drivers and dispatchers. This service operates during the fall and spring semesters only.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years of related supervisory experience
• Valid Texas driver license
• Self-motivation and positive, team focused attitude
• Great customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Strong leadership and management skills. Ability to manage up to 25 part-time workers

Preferred Qualifications

Management experience in transportation and/or public safety

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Valid Texas Driver License

Job Duties

• Manage and direct nightly operations
• Ensure vehicle readiness
• Hire and train drivers and dispatchers
• Perform routine quality assurance tasks
• Other duties as assigned to support the mission of Parking & Transportation
  
  

Work Schedule

Variable, shifts are generally Monday - Friday, 6PM-11PM, during the fall and spring semesters. Some weekend work may be required.
