Department Summary
The University of North Texas competes as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Athletic Conference. North Texas’ athletic programs are classified as NCAA Division I, the largest and highest division among all colleges and universities. The 46,000 square-foot Athletic Center located off South Bonnie Brae Street is the centerpiece of North Texas athletics. Athletics strives to conduct a competitive athletics program that promotes faculty, staff, student and community affiliation and participation with the North Texas Athletics. Provide facilities which attract the highest level of talent and allow student-athletes to perform at the highest level in practice and during competition.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for organizing all coaches individual recruiting travel, including all transportation and housing needs; responsible for maintaining and updating all coaches recruiting travel as needed; organizes recruits game schedules throughout the year, especially during Evaluation Periods; creates recruiting mailings and graphics; assist heavily with all recruiting efforts, including Official and Unofficial visits; and perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in related sport; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Thorough knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree.
Required License/Registration/Certifications

Job Duties:
- Serve as social Media Content Liaison.
- Lead weekly Creative Content meetings.
- In collaboration with Strategic Communications, develop and implement Women's Basketball Creative Content Calendar.
- Create content for in-home and on campus recruiting presentations.
- Create recruiting materials to include mailings, text graphics, and personalized videos.
- Oversee production of highlight videos .
- Coordinate photographer and videographer for Official and Unofficial Visits, as well as for Events and Practices.
- Coordinate and implement programs and initiatives focused on developing student athletes for success in all aspects of their college experience, including promoting healthy behavior and effective lifestyle choices and helping student athletes prepare for a successful life after college basketball.
- Connect with the coaching staff on methods to improve on court student athlete performance and their overall skillsets.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for student athletes.
- Coach practice sessions or workouts as assigned; may be assigned to work with a specific group of student athletes on a regular basis. Assists with coaching duties, including during athletic competition. May assist with maintaining statistics and coordinating officials.
