This is an open pool posting and applicants will be contacted only if a suitable position becomes available. Pool may be used to fill vacancies for the Fall 2024 - Summer 2025. This pool expires 05 / 31 / 2025. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05 / 31 / 2025 must reapply at that time.
Position Summary :
Candidates are sought to form a hiring pool for temporary positions in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Minimum Qualifications :
Faculty candidates should hold a degree at the doctoral level or at least one degree above the course(s) being taught in a discipline relevant to the specific course(s) or have earned a master’s or doctoral degree in another discipline that includes at least 18 hours in a discipline relevant to the course(s) being taught. In some cases, tested experience may substitute for the earned credential.
To qualify through tested experience for instruction of undergraduate, masters or doctoral degree classes, a faculty candidate who does not hold an appropriate doctoral degree must have :
- Master’s Degree in Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology, Speech & Hearing Science, or related field (e.g. health, medicine, psychology, education, business, public health)
- 3 years of post-degree full-time experience (e.g. school-based SLP or audiologist) in the field relevant to the course being taught (language, educational audiology, etc.).
- Clinical instruction faculty should also hold the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence in the appropriate discipline or another currently accepted credential of an accrediting body.
Preferred Requirements :
Previous teaching experience at University or professional level.
