What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tech Pro - Assistant Wrestling Coach position at University of Northern Colorado?
The intercollegiate athletics program is an integral part of the university striving to achieve the same standards of excellence in athletics that exist within academic programs. The program is concerned with the physical and mental welfare of the student and strives to ensure that every athlete has the opportunity to succeed academically and obtain a degree. Sport programs are a vital function of the University at large.
This position is responsible for the assisting in the successful planning, direction and administration of all aspects of the University’s NCAA Division I Wrestling Program.
Job Duties:
- Work with designated weight classes
- Help head coach identify and recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes with outstanding character
- Establish recruiting mailings and schedule
- Scout Opponents
- Build relationships with coaches, parents, alumni, and student-athletes
- Assist Head Coach in conducting practices and overall training plan
- Oversee match day preparations
- Coordinate incoming student-athletes admissions
- Facility management organization
- mat moping, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Combination of Division I collegiate wrestling/coaching experience preferred. Knowledge of NCAA rules required.

Background Check
