Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Systems Mechanic I/II/III-Operations to join our facilities operations team at the University of Northern Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various components of environmental systems, including refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, alter, replace, and maintain various components of environmental systems.
- Evaluate and recommend system optimization changes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement energy-saving initiatives.
Requirements:
- Four years of experience in refrigeration, heating, or air conditioning work (ESM I), six years in temperature and computerized building environmental automation systems (ESM II), or eight years in computerized building environmental automation systems (ESM III).
- Demonstrated expertise in computerized building environmental automation systems and ability to utilize software applications to collect and analyze data.
- A valid driver's license and ability to meet the University's Fleet Safety Program requirements.
