What are the responsibilities and job description for the Study Abroad Advisor position at University of Northern Iowa?
What You'll Do:
Recruits and provides individual and group advising to students regarding study abroad programs, registration, course approval, and academic transfer credit requirements; assists with the application process, enrollment, and preparation of students for study abroad; assists with the design and implementation of new and existing study abroad programs; monitors Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) reports on crime and safety abroad as well as US Department of State Travel Alerts daily and informs students of activity overseas when needed; maintains social media pages; creates, reviews, and edits publication materials both in print and digitally; and completes special projects as assigned.
What You Need:
Bachelor's degree; excellent communication and customer service skills; and experience working, studying, or traveling abroad. Student experience will be considered.
