What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing on-campus application, assignment, early arrival/late departure, and billing processes for nearly 7,000 undergraduate residents in close collaboration with Rectors and the rest of the Hall Staff teams.
- Supervising one full-time staff member, the Program Coordinator for Assignments, who assists in the day-to-day management of housing occupancy and assignments.
- Serve as a power user for the StarRez housing management system at Notre Dame, managing student data within the system and setup/maintenance of PortalX processes.
- Collaborating with campus stakeholders such as Sara Bea Accessibility Services, Athletics, Notre Dame Global, and Admissions to provide a welcoming and reliable service to students.
- Creating and managing departmental business communications, including assignment notifications, cancellation/termination communication, and the assignments content on the Residential Life website. This position will be regularly emailing some or all undergraduate students at Notre Dame.
- Managing and reporting on residential data in service to Residential Life and University goals and projects, which include residential master planning, facility renovation, and new construction.
- Participating in a housing operations on-call rotation approximately every five weeks limited to emergency housing support and student rooms searches.

- Master’s degree, ideally in higher education, student affairs, or related field
- 3-4 years experience in residential life, student support, or related experience
- Proficiency with StarRez residential management system
- Experience creating and managing website and mass email communications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work across departments and throughout the University, developing and maintaining relationships
- Competent with technology (MS Office and Google Suite) and ability to learn new systems
- Commitment to supporting the mission of a Catholic university founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross
- Power user for the StarRez residential management system with experience building and managing PortalX processes, bulk data updates, and overall data stewardship
