The University of Notre Dame’s Institute for Educational Initiatives ( IEI ) is looking for a dynamic graphic designer who is responsible for internal and external graphic design execution, including print and digital. Graphic design expertise is needed for our communications campaigns for recruitment, research, and promotion of our program and initiatives, including web and email, press releases, newsletters, written stories, mailings, brochures, program booklets, one-pagers, posters, logos, hooks, table tents, banners, reports, and more.

Temporary Request For IEI /Comm Assistance For The Role
Graphic Designer Role & Responsibilities:
- Create well-designed materials for print and digital media.
- Responsible for layout design, print production, and image editing and selection
- Advanced knowledge of ICreative Cloud and other job-required software applications; especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Visual design collaboration with IEI team members and other departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline
- Three or more years of experience (academic and professional) with design software, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Lightroom or equivalent
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative work style
- Resourceful and results-driven; self-starter who sees work through to completion
