The Manager of Internal Relations in the Office of the Vice President for Research (VPR) will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational efforts of Notre Dame Research (NDR), serving as an advisor and senior aide to the VPR and NDR senior leadership team.

Primary responsibilities include:

Project Management and Operational Efficiency
- Help lead the NDR front office team operations, ensuring timely and responsive communications on behalf of VPR and NDR senior leadership team to all stakeholders
- Establish and oversee robust systems to track opportunities, relationships, and progress against the NDR's strategic goals, fostering alignment and cross-collaborative functioning of the office
- Proactively anticipate and address operational challenges and gaps, helping to effectively manage and resolve issues to reduce the VPR's workload and build a team culture focused on continuous process improvements
- Provide support for special short- or medium-term projects that require leadership or representation of the NDR front office

Relationship Stewardship
- Serve as a lead liaison between NDR and internal stakeholders, fostering strong, high-impact relationships

Support events team to execute impact-oriented, strategic engagements
on campus, in the national capital region, and beyond.
Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders and partners.

Content Management
- Assist with the review and execution of high-quality briefing materials, reports, and presentations for internal and external engagements, coordinating input from key stakeholders.
Reporting to the VPR, this position will require a high level of independent judgment, discretion, and initiative; the ability to communicate clearly on behalf of NDR in written and verbal communications; proven project/organizational management and analytical skills; the ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality; and, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree and 5-6 years of demonstrated success in project management, communication and team management roles.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to quickly assess a situation and work to develop and implement strategies and solutions
- Demonstrated organizational leadership skills, including supporting diverse and impactful team
- A strong, positive presence that conveys confidence and credibility both within the University community and externally
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A deep appreciation and belief in the mission of Notre Dame and the role it plays within higher education as a leading, global Catholic university.
